First things first. I installed this in my 2007 Honda Element. It's a great car for us, but I wanted some of the options my wife's new car has. I have researched pretty much every Android radio on Amazon over the last few months. I kept coming back to the Xtrons unit because they really seemed to have the most complete package in terms of what I want. Overall, I am pleased with the result. If you are looking for this here is the pass - **** Developer Pass on my unit is 126 ****PROS -- Nice clean interface. Too many of these units have a stock tablet as the interface. This is ready to go for your car out of the box.- Great backup camera! I am really impressed with the looks of this unit and it looks good day and night. Installation is a different matter (more on that later)- Boot up is fast, screen is easy to read day and night.- Bluetooth works with my phone and the OBD2 unit perfect. (If you are having problems hooking yours up, go the the reviews for the OBD2 unit, a review there provides the method that worked for me.)Cons --The unit is NOT an easy install. I have installed almost all of my stereos in my cars over the years. If you have never done this task before, spend the money and have a pro do it. It is not easy. (I am going to say this is probably true of most of these units.)-The function BEEP is loud. Like, ungodly so. And there does not seem to be a way to access it to turn it down.-The mirroring function is useless. If I wanted my phone screen as an interface, I would not have purchased this unit. I would just continue to use my phone.-The provided instructions are not helpful. But, most questions I had could be found on YouTube.Install took me two afternoons, I had to remove almost all of the drivers side panels to run the camera wire from the back to the front. If you do plan on doing this, I would suggest getting a two foot and one foot length of 1/8" or 1/4" plastic tubing. When you need to run the cable through a tight spot, run the tube through first and see if you can wind it through, then tape your cable to the end and gently pull it through. This helped me a lot. I also ordered all the clips for my wiring harness, the correct frame (which I had to dremel the heck out of back to fit this unit.) I apparently still need a unit to make my steering wheel controls work. I'm still researching that.*** UPDATE: I did not need to but a module, I located the three wires that the head unit has KEY1 KEY2 and GND and the wires for my SWC and played around with hooking those up until I had the correct combination. ***Once I got the unit in, I had to remove it a few times to make adjustments here and there. It is generally the same size as my stock unit.. BUT you have a lot more coming out of the back and it all does not quite fit. I ended up just tucking the GPS antenna as far forward as I could in the dash and it works fine. Actually, it works really good. I had issues pairing with my Galaxy S8. I finally found that I needed to go into my developer settings, change my phone's Bluetooth setting from version 1.4 to version 1.5 and finally it paired. Playstore works, I was able to download the Waze app and set it as my default.Sound quality is good. The radio app is easy to use and a great upgrade from my stock stereo. GPS works great, the back up camera is responsive. I also liked this unit for the fact that it did not have any knobs or anything sticking out. It also does not have a name on the bezel. And if you go into the developer settings you can can change the start up screen. I opened the chrome browser, searched "Honda desktop background" and found something that looked nice, then applied that as the start up screen. Setting this up is just like getting a new tablet and getting it just the way you want it. Except that this tablet is mounted in your dash. After all was said and done, I have spent $400 on everything and I feel like I have all of the functions of a new car. For me, this is a major upgrade to an older car that I want to keep for another four years. I had a lot of fun installing it, but... I like figuring out how to do projects like this. I really like working with my hands. YouTube is your friend here if you are going to install it yourself.Good luck.I decided to go "full bore" with my stereo installation into my 2000 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner.I ordered this head unit, OBDII transmitter, TPMS unit, Dashcamera, Backup Camera, Microphone and Steering Wheel Buttons:OBDII: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015MU8UN6TPMS: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DKB4GD2Dashcam: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MBYCG4CBackup Cam: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077NDVMV9 (I ordered the head unit with the backup cam by mistake.)Microphone: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OROYMNGSteering Wheel Buttons: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LDZZKRMThe Dashcam, Backup Cam, TPMS, and Microphone are shipping from Hong Kong, and all listed for arrival between April 4th to May 9th. I'm certain that the May 9th shipping date is just in anticipation of potential problems with international shipping. I doubt it will take so long for the parts to arrive, but I am a little concerned that this extends beyond the 30 day return period for the first set of parts that I will receive. Anyone who wishes to perform the same installation (within the USA) should order the Cameras, TPMS, and microphone first, because the Head Unit and OBDII unit are shipped from within the US and do not take long to arrive. This may change in the future, so just double check the items in the Shopping Cart.I went ahead and placed an "expedited" shipping order for a OEM Toyota to ISO stereo connector. This item shipped from Europe, so if you are planning an install on a similar vehicle, order it in advance (it worked perfectly): https://www.amazon.com/Wiring-Harness-Adapter-Toyota-Adaptor/dp/B00ZIBBK78Edit April 1st, 2019: As expected, the accessories that I ordered arrived today. Much earlier than the projected time. I plan to get started on the install this weekend.Edit April 13th, 2019: I got to the installation this week. However, I'm also installing soundproofing in my vehicle, so I only connected the stereo in a trial method. The stereo used the factory Toyota stereo brackets, with a minor modification. You can see in the picture how one small retaining tab needed to be bent flat (I could have also filed it down to make it fit into a hole on the Xtrons unit). The TPMS sending units, which I had a tire shop install last week, are working just fine.Although there is a wiring diagram sticker on the head unit, I have noticed some inaccuracies, as well as the labeled wires being very vague. For instance, one wire is labeled "brake", but does not specify "parking brake switch" or "brake light switch".Edit May 8th, 2019: OK, finally got everything installed. The backup camera was a pain because of a defective RCA plug. I ended up having to cut it off and solder it directly to the head unit. (I most likely broke the RCA jack myself as I used a coat hanger to pull it through some tight areas of the truck). I was hoping to find some way to configure the backup camera for recording while driving, but with the LED lights turning on with the camera, I don't think this is an option. The OBDII sender is able to connect to the head unit, but it then shows that it is unable to communicate with the ECU of the vehicle. Other reviews show that this is not an uncommon problem. I'll see if contacting the company can help. The Steering Wheel Buttons work just fine, but the screws are rather delicate and a touch too long. If you decide to cut them down, thread the nut onto the screw first. This way, when you take it off, it will straighten out the threads. The TPMS seems to be working flawlessly. The Dashcamera has not been fully tested yet. I know it works because I connected it to my Chromebook and it wrote video files to a 32GB MicroSD card.Oh, and now this Stereo is $60.00 cheaper from when I ordered it...I paid $279.99Update May 13th, 2019: AM radio function could use a better system for tuning. The seek function does not seem to stop at radio stations, and there is no system to directly input the station frequency. Yes, some people still listen to AM radio, even though this stereo can play music via cell network, wifi, bluetooth, locally installed files, removable microSD card and FM radio.Update May 15th, 2019: Having some difficulties setting up a system to locate the dashcamera videos and transfer them via wi-fi to the home network. The Xtrons website does have a forum ( http://bbs.xtrons.com/ ) but it does not seem well maintained. The OBDII sender started to work after I disconnected it from the stereo unit, then connected it to a Torque App on my Chromebook. Once I reconnected it to the Stereo it has been working fine. I'm still looking at a way to send the data files from the vehicle to the home network.Just installed it. This unit has everything. OK. It's NOT 4K but the screen is very impressive. I brought the forward cam, a parking Cam, Tyre sensors and OBD2 sensor. Yes I went nuts. But its more than worth it. Think of it as a very fast dedicated computed built into your car. I was against Android as I always buy Apple products. But I have definitely changed my mind. The interface is slick, responsive, customization and intuitive. But most of all. Its quick. like really quick. Just installed facebook on the unit. (I know right). The thing is amazing. The sound quality over my old Xtron TD697A, Mid range, tweet and base is sooooo clear, soundls like I put really expensive speakers in.OK bad points. The manual. (Roll my eyes. It's not great). The side wings that hold the unit in are a little too large for my Alfa Romeo. (I will cut them to size.)I'm really struggling to find bad points. as it really is that good, so I had to nit pick.Dont waste your hard earned money, the software is buggy and the takes 30 seconds to start every time you use it. The unit is impossibly hard to operate when driving and the touch screen didnt work down the right hand side. The BEST thing about this unit is... it completely died on me today... after owning for exactly 12 months, so I can now justify purchasing a Sony, Kenwood or Pioneer. I wont even bother attempting to contact Xtrons as I have read all over the internet that they will just ignore me.Installed the item, overall functionality it good, unit is reasonably fast. Apps are fairly basic but do work. Biggest disappointment is after connecting everything up the unit doesn't play very loudly at all. Top volume is less than half that of cars standard unit.very good sound, touchscreen, android works perfectly, connected my google profile, everything is great, navigation, bluetooth everything worksThere is so much you can do with this can’t get better quality for the money. Very happy
